Heat Stress In The Grooming Salon

Living in Australia creates an inevitable possibility of serious heat stress or heatstroke for our pets. The rise of the body temperature above the normal can lead to Hyperthermia. Make sure that your pet is not left outside during these extremely hot days.

Pets are predisposed to heat exhaustion dogs in particular, so a lot of factors must be taken into considerations while grooming in the salon during hot days. The factors which could lead to Hyperthermia in-salon grooming are air temperature, external heat source, high humidity, poor ventilation also animal’s ability to breathe, as well as the availability of drinking water.

The pet owner and the groomer should be aware that certain dogs or certain conditions could make heat exhaustion more of a concern.
